Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is funding in addition to the school’s budget.

Schools are free to decide how to allocate this funding to best support the raising of attainment for the most vulnerable pupils.

In 2016-2017  the school recieved £5100 pupil premium money. This was used on the following initiatives:

  • 1:1 teaching,booster classes and small group support for specific children
  • raising the confidence and esteem of identified pupils
  • increasing opportunities for vulnerable pupils through currciulum enrichment
  • enabling pupils to access the curriculum through supporting before and after school activities

 

The impact of the success of these initiatives and expenditure shows that for the pupils eligible for Pupil Premium the following was observed:

100% of pupils eligible participated in an enriched curriculum, attending all trips and visits through the year, including residential visits.

100% of pupils took part in at least two extra curricular activities through the course of the year.

100% of eligible pupils undertook musical instrument tuition as an additional enrichment activity.

100% of parents attended progress review meetings.

100% of pupils made progress in English and maths through the year. The majority of pupils have narrowed the gap in attainment with their peers in English and maths.
